The Story

Aether's been planning this for weeks. Seven friends, a local park, a bottle of lemon vodka. Simple. The group chat has other ideas — and so does the dealer, the party crasher, the girl who just bolted from Lewes, and the guy who definitely should not have taken mushrooms.

Thursday Night is a madcap and hilarious story of a Halloween night in Hove Park — where everything that could go wrong, does. From GCSEs to LSD, revision to Playboy Bunnies, bong queues to bad decisions. A show about growing up, the importance of a good group chat, and why nobody ever just goes home when they say they will.

"15 minutes. Then out." — Harry, arriving at the party at 8pm, leaving at 2am.

Got a question?

Thursday Night is recommended for ages 16 and above. The show contains strong language, references to drug and alcohol use, and themes of teenage anxiety and relationships. It's a comedy, but an honest one — parental discretion advised for younger audiences.

Thursday Night runs for 2 hours and 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. We'd recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before curtain up — the Lantern Theatre bar is a good place to start the evening.

Yes — 28 October 2026 is the only performance. Like Aether's party, there are no second chances. Get your tickets early.

The Lantern Theatre is at 77 St James's Street, Kemptown, Brighton, BN2 1PA. It's a short walk from Brighton city centre and well served by local buses. There is no on-site parking, but there are several car parks nearby. See the map below for directions.

Yes — concession tickets are available for £6 for students and under 25s. Full price tickets are £10. Given the show is about teenagers, we thought it was only right.

Ticket exchanges and refunds are subject to the booking platform's terms and conditions. As this is a one-night-only event, we strongly recommend checking your availability before booking. If you have any issues, get in touch and we'll do our best to help.

The Lantern Theatre is a compact venue. If you have specific accessibility requirements, we'd recommend contacting the theatre directly on 01273 818266 before booking to ensure we can accommodate you properly.

The full cast will be announced soon — keep an eye on this page and the group chat. A programme will be available on the night.

Thursday Night features loud music, sudden sound effects, and theatrical lighting including some strobe effects. If you have sensory sensitivities or epilepsy, please contact the theatre ahead of your visit.
